Autism: A Guide for Parents and Carers Following Diagnosis

The development of the post-diagnostic pack was led by the Rhondda Cynon Taf Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Steering Group on behalf of the South East Wales region. The group is multi-agency and multi-disciplinary and most importantly includes strong representation from parents and carers who attend, not only as individuals with children and partners with ASD, but as representatives from parent and carer support groups in the local area. In addition parents, carers and family members of those with ASD from across the South East Wales region were invited to contribute to the process through attendance at workshops and meetings as well as being provided with the opportunity to comment through their local groups and via email at different stages of development of the pack.
